Five months ago, Bleacher Report described Sounders FC forward Clint Dempsey as one of the world’s worst “athlete rappers.” This designation was in reference to a single track Dempsey released nearly a decade ago.
This summer, the 31-year-old will take another shot at a part-time musical career.
Dempsey, also known by his stage name “Deuce,” will be releasing a 13-track rap album sometime in the next couple of months. The Redux will reportedly feature songs about Dempsey’s upbringing and lyrics related to Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch.
One track on the album was leaked this week. Here is “It’s Poppin” by Deuce himself.
