Club legends Steve Zakuani and Brad Evans are joined on the pod by former Sounder Lamar Neagle, as well as Season Ticket Member and CEO of Sustainable Business Consulting Kevin Wilhelm.
During Neagle’s segment, the three former Sounders discuss the trials and tribulations of professional soccer, including adjusting to life off the pitch when you retire. More specifically, Evans gives Neagle a shoutout for scoring some absolutely ridiculous long-range goals for the Sounders.
“My [favorite goal] was against Salt Lake to end their unbeaten streak at home,” recalled Neagle. “I don’t even remember how many years [the unbeaten streak] was.”
In the second segment, Wilhelm walks Evans and Zakuani through the step-by-step process of how the Sounders calculated their carbon emissions, and the steps the organization has taken to become the first professional soccer team in North America to become carbon neutral. The trio also pour over stories from Wilhelm's time working in soccer before moving into environmental advocacy.
