Greetings from Chula Vista!
Thursday marked the third full day of training at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center, with the guys enjoying a less strenuous session after being pushed hard the past two days. After warmups, some light drills and stretching, a good number of the team enjoyed the opportunity to partake in some on-site archery.
Less Intensity
Thursday's late morning training session ran shorter than previous days, as the guys recovered a bit from Tuesday's fitness-focused practice and yesterday's 11v11 match simulation. After some half-field and full-field fitness drills, the guys did some on-ball drills, then wrapped up the quick training with stretching.
Are those clouds?
Although Thursday's session was held in complete sunshine, early afternoon clouds rolled into camp for the first time all week. There was a noticeable breeze, too, as the temperature hovered in the low 60s.
Bullseye
Following training, a couple dozen players (and Assistant Coach Djimi Traore) visited the Easton Archery Center of Excellence, which is perched above the soccer fields. The guys were able to try their hand at archery, with on-hand instruction from members of USA Archery. The only guy to get a bullseye?
