SEATTLE, WASH. – As Tacoma Defiance returns home to host its final match of the regular season against Portland Timbers2 on Sunday, September 18 at Starfire Stadium (4:00 p.m. PT / mlsnextpro.com), fans in attendance can to participate in a slew of special matchday activities in support of RAVE Foundation’s Fan-Funded Field initiative which was launched earlier this summer, with all proceeds earmarked specifically for the campaign. This initiative – inspired by Sounders FC fans – pledges to fund one of the 26 RAVE community fields, giving fans a meaningful way to give back to the region through soccer, and support the Rave Green’s commitment to Defend the Right to Play for youth in communities where access to safe, available play-spaces is scarce.

In addition to ticket sales, RAVE is providing other opportunities to support the Fan-Funded Field initiative, including a special online auction through which fans can bid on Defiance signed items and exclusive Defiance matchday experiences. Items will be available and on display on matchday and bids placed online at Defiance.givesmart.com.
Bidding opens on Saturday, September 17. The auction will close immediately following halftime of the Defiance match.
RAVE Foundation encourages fans to participate in this effort to bring the 26 Fields by 2026 vision to life by getting the most out of their matchday experience including a Defiance Garage Sale. Additionally, and for the first time this season, fans will be able to purchase a variety of Tacoma Defiance retail items which will be available to the public on matchday and outside the front gate.
