He's back! Sounders FC captain Brad Evans returned to Seattle following a few weeks away with the USMNT. As the club is set to face Vancouver Whitecaps FC at a sold-out CenturyLink Field, Brad Evans shares his Captain's Notes ahead of his first match back with the team.

It's been awhile. I'm so glad to be back at home and spending time with the family. It's tough to be away and the results didn't go the way we're used to at the Sounders. Fans, players, management...it's been a challenging month for everyone. It is difficult to sit back and watch the end result from home. I know the guys are distraught about last month. This week, we came in ready to flip the script.
We are ready to focus on a new month and a new challenge ahead. The reality is that we have 10 wins and we were able to build a nice little cushion at the beginning of the year knowing that this league can be a rollercoaster. With ups and downs and the way things have gone, we're still okay. Is it fine by our standards? No, but at the same time we have a chance to make a push in these last few months.
It starts tomorrow at home in front of a sellout crowd and a chance to get the Cascadia Cup. We haven't held that in a few years and that's something the team is looking forward to. That will spur us on tomorrow and the fans are craving something. That would be great for us to grab that at home in front of our supporters.
It's an open stadium, it's going to be a packed house against a very good Vancouver team. We had success against them earlier this season, but there are no guarantees. We're going to get after it on Saturday. The boys are ready. We have to push forward. Let's go, Sounders!
