Dempsey returns to the club where he enjoyed great success for the bulk of his career.
RENTON, WASH. – Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Clint Dempsey has signed a two-month loan with Fulham FC of the English Premier League, the club announced today.
Dempsey, 30, signed with Sounders FC on August 3 and made 12 appearances in regular-season and postseason play, scoring one goal with one assist. He previously spent six seasons (2007-12) with Fulham and scored 52 goals with 18 assists in 184 appearances, including a career high 17 goals in the 2011-12 season. Dempsey holds the record for most goals (57) by an American in the EPL.
