It was the storybook ending to an already amazing night.
In the 67th minute against New England, Clint Dempsey found the back of the net for the second time on an amazing team goal set up by Marco Pappa and Obafemi Martins. Dempsey tapped in the goal to put the Sounders up 3-0 over the Revs and safely secured the victory for the home team. The goal earned Dempsey the first AT&T Goal of the Week honor for 2015 with 38.17% of the votes.
An astonishing six passes between Pappa, Martins and Dempsey led to the final tap-in by Clint.
The Sounders are back in action on Saturday, March 14 against the San Jose Earthquakes at 7 p.m. at CenturyLink Field. The match will be broadcast locally on Q13 FOX and can be heard on KIRO Radio 97.3 FM and ESPN Deportes 1490 AM.
