The Seattle Sounders will face Atlético de Madrid in Group B of FIFA Club World Cup 2025. Taking place from June 15 – July 13 next year, the inaugural edition of this revamped tournament will bring together 32 of the most iconic teams on the planet. As a host city, all three of Sounders FC’s group stage matches will be played at Lumen Field.

- Julián Álvarez: Signed from Manchester City ahead of the current season, Álvarez posted 38 goals and six assists during his three-year spell with the reigning UEFA Champions League winners. The 24-year-old also played a vital role as Argentina won the 2022 FIFA World Cup, scoring four goals in seven matches. A dynamic, well-rounded striker, Álvarez already has 10 goals in his first season with Los Colchaneros.
- Antoine Griezmann: One of the most prolific strikers of his generation, Griezmann has been an iconic player for both club and country over the last 15 years. Equally capable of scoring and creating goals, the French international has scored 270 goals and tallied 175 assists across all club competitions since breaking into Real Sociedad’s first team in 2009. Griezmann has made 137 appearances for the French national team. He scored four goals as France won the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
- Jan Oblak: Widely considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world over the last decade, Oblak has made 673 starts across all competitions for both club and country. His individual accolades include 4x winner of the La Liga Zamora Trophy for best goalkeeper, 3x honoree on the UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season, and the 2020-21 La Liga Player of the Year.
