From June 11 to July 19, FIFA World Cup 2026TM will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico, with the best teams from around the globe competing for the highest honor in the world of football.
On Friday, Dec. 5, the FIFA World Cup Draw took place in Washington D.C., where each of the 42 qualified nations — in addition to six countries yet to be determined — were placed into 12 groups consisting of four teams each. As one of 16 host cities for the FIFA World Cup, Seattle is scheduled to host four group-stage fixtures, a Round of 32 match, and a Round of 16 match at Seattle Soccer Stadium (Lumen Field). You can find the slate of matches with dates and times below:
- Belgium vs. Egypt on June 15 at 12 p.m. PT (Group G)
- USA vs. Australia on June 19 at 12 p.m. PT (Group D)
- Winner of Playoff A (Italy, Northern Ireland, Wales, Bosnia) vs. Qatar on June 24 at 12 p.m. PT (Group B)
- Egypt vs. IR Iran on June 26 at 8 p.m. PT (Group G)
- Round of 32 on July 1
- Round of 16 on July 6
Additionally, the Sounders have the opportunity to host one of the 48 teams at the Providence-Swedish Performance Center & Clubhouse as their basecamp. The designated team will be determined after the new year.
