The Seattle Sounders routed Nashville SC 3-0 last Saturday behind three goals in a 15-minute span in the first half. The match was Seattle’s most complete of the season so far and has the team in high spirits heading into late spring.
A lot happened over 90 minutes at Lumen Field last weekend. Here are five things you might have missed:
De la Vega scores first league goal at home
After a tantalizing mix of disallowed goals, posts and close calls, Sounders winger Pedro de la Vega finally recorded his first MLS goal at Lumen Field as a Sounder. The Argentine Designated Player hammered home a one-timed effort to finish off a brilliant run from Obed Vargas. The goal was de la Vega’s fourth overall in 2025 after three in two matches against Guatemala’s Antigua GFC in the opening round of the Concacaf Champions Cup.
Kim helps keep clean sheet
Sounders center back Kim Kee-hee has wasted no time reacclimating himself to life in Seattle after rejoining the squad a couple months ago. He came on at halftime for an injured Jackson Ragen in a shutout win against FC Dallas on April 12 before going 90 minutes and posting another clean sheet against Nashville.
“Tonight’s performance is exactly why Kim Kee-hee, why we re-signed him,” said Head Coach Brian Schmetzer. “He was really good tonight: steady, solid, didn’t put a foot wrong and provided us some really senior leadership.”
Kim, who spent 2018-19 with the Sounders and helped win MLS Cup 2019, spent the past five years in his native Korea, where he was a Best XI defender last year for Ulsan Hyundai.

Musovksi in form
Since turning the match against the San Jose Earthquakes on its head a few weeks ago when he entered at halftime, Sounders forward Danny Musovski has been in his best form since arriving to Seattle prior to the 2024 season. The 29-year-old brings a different profile to the No. 9 position than fellow forwards Jordan Morris and Jesús Ferreira, and he’s been riding that momentum as a true poacher to the tune of goals in back-to-back matches.
Kent makes club debut
New Sounders winger Ryan Kent made his much-anticipated club debut when he checked in as an 84th-minute substitute for Paul Rothrock on Saturday. The former Rangers and Galatasaray man is still working his way back to full fitness after an extended layoff, but he has the pace and ability to eliminate defenders off the dribble and wreak havoc in the final third.
Getting healthy
After an extended run of injuries plagued Seattle over the beginning part of the season, things are looking up in the health department. Morris, Albert Rusnák and Alex Roldan all made second-half appearances against Nashville as they returned from their respective injuries. With how well the Sounders have played over the past couple weeks, too, Schmetzer should have some added time to allow some of his routine starters a chance to ease their way back in and fully recover.
