During our preseason stint in Mexico, there has been a lot of Settlers of Catan. Every single day, a group of players gather in the lounge for some highly intense Catan battles.
We asked Gustav Svensson to rank the top players on the squad.
1. Harry Shipp
“Harry Shipp is probably number one. Everyone thinks he’s so kind, but he’s not. He’s a snake. He’s smart, he likes to think, he takes his time. He chooses his cards and his settlements very, very carefully.”
2. Gustav Svensson
“I would say I am second. I never played it, never even heard it before I came here. It’s a great way to spend a couple hours. There is always a lot of free time, which might sound glorious but you would rather spend your time elsewhere than a hotel. Settlers of Catan is a good way to spend the time. ”
3. Will Bruin
"Then I probably have to say Will third because otherwise he would probably shoot me or something. I don’t think it’s him as third, but I have to say him."
What about Justin Dhillon? The 24-year-old forward won both games on Saturday afternoon.
