Stanford junior forward and Sounders FC Academy product Jordan Morris logged an assist and three shots as the Cardinal rallied for a 3-1 win over Santa Clara in the second round of the NCAA Division I tournament on Sunday in Stanford, Calif.
No. 8 Stanford scored three unanswered goals in the second half after falling behind 1-0 before the break. Morris assisted on the Cardinals' final goal of the night with three minutes remaining (below), and teammate Amir Bashti became the first Stanford to score two goals in a postseason match since former Sounders player Roger Levesque in November 2001.
Stanford will host No. 9 Ohio State in the third round on Sunday, Nov. 29.
Seattle University 1, UCLA 0
Junior defender and Sounders FC Academy product Kyle Bjornethun started and logged 90 minutes as the No. 11 Redhawks shut out UCLA in the second round on Sunday night in Seattle.
Sophomore forward and Sounders FC Academy product David Olsen managed six shots and one shot on goal in 81 minutes for the Redhawks, who advanced to the third round of the tournament for the first time in their Division I history and picked up the program’s first-ever win over UCLA. Senior forward and Shoreline native Hamza Haddadi scored the game-winning goal in the 40th minute.
Defender and Sounders FC Academy product Sam Langston came off the bench and logged 39 minutes to preserve the shutout for the Redhawks, who will play at No. 6 Syracuse in the third round on Nov. 29.

Senior midfielder and Sounders FC Academy product Jordan Schweitzer came off the bench and logged two shots in 22 minutes, but the No. 13 Pioneers were upset in the second round by visiting SMU on Sunday night in Denver.
