Jordan Morris scores Gold Cup-winning goal for U.S., Clint Dempsey provides assist in 2-1 win over Jamaica

Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris scored the Gold Cup-winning goal in the 88th minute Wednesday night to help lead the U.S. men's national team to a 2-1 win over Jamaica. 

Fellow Sounders forward Clint Dempsey entered the match in the 55th minute and provided the assist to Morris as the U.S. won the Gold Cup for the first time since 2013. 

It has been a banner 18 months for Morris as he won the 2015 NCAA Men's National Championship with Stanford, helped the Sounders win the 2016 MLS Cup en route to being named MLS Rookie of the Year and Wednesday led the U.S. to the Gold Cup title.
