Macklemore is always showing love to his hometown.
Hailing from Capitol Hill, Macklemore has always repped his roots in Seattle throughout his music career. His love of the Emerald City runs so deep, in fact, that he has invested in both the Seattle Sounders and the Seattle Kraken.
When Macklemore released the music video for his new single 'CHANT' last week, you might have noticed a little Rave Green Easter Egg.
Macklemore, who is a minority owner of the Sounders, flashes his 2019 MLS Cup ring around the 2:50 mark of the video. It's accompanied by the lyrics "I was supposed to be a one-hit ringer, now I've got too many rings and not enough fingers."
Macklemore's love for the club has been prevalent over the years. From performing a free pre-match concert ahead of the 2019 MLS Cup to supplying all of the players on the squad a box of Bogey Boys gear for winning the 2022 Concacaf Champions League, the local musician has been a consistent fixture on matchday.
