Major League Soccer names Seattle Sounders forward Will Bruin to Week 7 Team of the Week

Major League Soccer on Monday named Seattle Sounders forward Will Bruin to the Week 7 Team of the Week for his brace in a 3-2 win over Toronto FC at CenturyLink Field on Saturday.


Bruin recorded his first goal of the year in the 24th minute off a great ball from Brad Smith. Bruin then earned his brace in the 66th minute off another feed from Smith.


Bruin now has 20 goals in 63 regular-season matches since joining Seattle ahead of the 2017 season and moved into fifth in career MLS goals scored (70) among active players.


The Sounders return to action on Sunday in a battle of the league’s two top teams when they visit LAFC (4 p.m. PT; FS1, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
