MATCH RECAP: Sounders FC Plays to Scoreless Home Draw with LA Galaxy

SEATTLE, WASH. – Sounders FC (2-5-4, 10 points) played to a scoreless draw with the LA Galaxy (5-2-4, 19 points) on Sunday afternoon on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field. Stefan Frei recorded his third shutout of the season and 108th of his MLS career – four shy of second in league history – as the Rave Green earned a home point in the first of three matches this week. Brian Schmetzer’s side now begins its 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup campaign on Wednesday, May 8 against Louisville City FC at Starfire Stadium (7:30 p.m. PT / USOpenCup.com, 950 KJR AM), before traveling south to face archrival Portland Timbers on Sunday, May 12 at Providence Park (1:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, FOX, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
