WHERE TO WATCH: The match will be available to watch FREE on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and FOX.

WHERE TO LISTEN: The match will air in English on 93.3 KJR FM and in Spanish on El Rey 1360AM.

2023 RECORDS AND STANDINGS: Sounders: 10-9-6 (36 points, 4th West), Minnesota: 8-8-7 (31 points, 9th West)

FORM GUIDE (most recent first – regular season): Seattle: L-D-L-W-W, Minnesota: W-D-W-L-W

PREVIOUS MEETING: The Sounders defeated Minnesota United 1-0 on April 22, 2023, at Lumen Field, behind a 79th-minute goal from Albert Rusnák.

LOOKING FOR A WIN: The Sounders have struggled to secure a win since their July 8 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps. Sunday’s match will be the first of six remaining road matches this season.

POSSIBLE CRISTIAN RETURN: After suffering a concussion in the Sounders’ July 22 Leagues Cup match against Real Salt Lake, Cristian Roldan could be available for selection this weekend against the Loons. Roldan has participated in just 12 matches for the Rave Green this season, having only been a part of one loss.

JP REACHES CAREER MILESTONE: This Sunday’s match against Minnesota United will mark João Paulo’s 100 all-competition appearance with the Sounders. Over the course of four seasons, he’s been a vital asset to the Rave Green, dictating the tempo of matches from midfield.

LOCAL WATCH PARTY: In partnership with Bud Light, the Sounders will be hosting a Watch Party for Sunday's match at Elysian Fields (542 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104). This exciting event will include giveaways, a photobooth, games, special food & beverage offers and raffle prizes such as autographed merchandise and tickets to future Sounders FC home matches.

SOUNDERS DOMINANCE: The Rave Green have been consistently dominant over the Loons. Of 13 head-to-head battles over the years, the Sounders have won 11. Minnesota’s only points against the Rave Green came from a lone win and tie.

WINNING STREAK TO TWO: The Loons secured a 2-0 victory over New York City FC on Aug. 20 behind goals from Ján Gregus and Ménder García. The Minnesota squad will look to secure back-to-back wins this Sunday against the Rave Green.

HEROIC HLONGWANE: Bongokuhle Hlongwane is considered one of Minnesota’s key players up front this season, leading the team in both goals (six) and assists (three). However, the Loons forward had to exit last Sunday’s match early, leaving him questionable for the upcoming battle against the Sounders. If he is unavailable, slight alterations will be necessary to the Loons lineup.
