- Head Coach Brian Schmetzer makes four changes to the lineup, with Stefan Frei, Jackson Ragen, Reed Baker-Whiting and Osaze De Rosario replacing Andrew Thomas, Kim Kee-hee, Pedro de la Vega, and Danny Musovski.
- Seattle sits in fourth place in the Western Conference with 41 points (11-6-8), while Minnesota sits in third with 44 points (12-6-8). The Rave Green have a game in hand on Minnesota and can move into a tie for third in the West with a victory in tonight's match.
- Musovski scored a brace against the Galaxy in the 4-0 win, giving him 12 goals in all competitions on the season, his most ever as a professional in a single season.
- Sounders FC midfielder Cristian Roldan made his 300th regular-season appearance on Sunday against the LA Galaxy, becoming just the second Sounder to hit that mark, joining Frei (343).
