Major League Soccer on Monday named the Seattle Sounders midfielder to the Week 31 Team of the Week after his stellar performance in a 4-0 win over the Colorado Rapids on Saturday. Lodeiro finished with a goal and two assists, as well as 114 touches, 86 passes, a 92-percent passing accuracy and six key passes.
MLS also named Raúl Ruidíaz to the Team of the Week bench. He was the beneficiary of both of Lodeiro’s assists, recording his sixth and seventh goals in just his 11th start.
The Sounders are back in action on Monday, Oct. 8, at home to the Houston Dynamo (7:30 p.m. PT; JOEtv, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM | TICKETS).
