Time is ticking on the end of the USL regular season and so far, only one team from each conference has secured its position in the postseason. In the West, Oklahoma City Energy FC know they have a place, while Rochester Rhinos sit comfortably atop the East and look to be favorites for the USL Commissioner's Cup (awarded to team who finishes USL regular season with the most points).
Sounders FC 2 is knocking on the door of a berth of its own, needing only two points to lock in one of the remaining spots in the West. The Rave Green travel to face Austin Aztex on Saturday, then wrap up the season with home games against Orange County Blues FC and another against Austin before heading into the postseason.
Both Austin and S2 have struggled as of late with each team taking only one win of its last five. The Saturday matchup marks the third of a three-match road swing for the Rave Green, where the club has dropped points to both LA Galaxy II and last-place Real Monarchs. Head Coach Ezra Hendrickson will look to right the ship in Austin with three points and probably wouldn't mind securing his team's place in the playoffs while he's at it.
