Following the team’s 1-0 win over the Houston Dynamo at Shell Energy Stadium on Saturday night, Seattle Sounders winger Paul Rothrock was named to MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 6.
Rothrock contributed to the Sounders' lone goal of the night, ultimately earning him a spot on the TOTM bench.
With less than seven minutes of regulation remaining and the match tied 0-0, Rothrock delivered a late game-winner after Jordan Morris flicked Kalani Kossa-Rienzi’s whipped cross toward the back post, where the winger finished first-time.
This marks Rothrock's second TOTM selection this season. His goal on Saturday is his 5th across all-competitions in 2026.
The Sounders return to action on Wednesday, April 8 when they visit Tigres in Leg 1 of the Concacaf Champions Cup quarterfinals at Estadio Universitario (6 p.m. PT; FS2, TUDN).
