Power Rankings: Pundits remain bullish on Sounders after first loss

Following the club's first loss of the 2021 MLS Regular Season, experts that cover the league remain very high on the Seattle Sounders in the Week 13 Power Rankings.

The late 1-0 loss to Minnesota United at Allianz Field didn't deter the voters over at MLSsoccer.com, as the Rave Green retained the top spot in their Power Rankings. Over at ESPN.com, Seattle fell to third place with Sporting Kansas City taking first and New England Revolution moving into second.

"It took 14 matches, but it finally happened: The Sounders lost a league match," wrote ESPN.com's Kyle Bonagura. "It was bound to occur and, perhaps, the 1-0 loss to Minnesota United takes a little bit of pressure off Seattle following the record start."

The Sounders will look to bounce back on Thursday as they face a quick turnaround for a road match against MLS newcomers Austin FC (6:30 p.m. PT; ESPN, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM) at Q2 Stadium.
