The Seattle Sounders closed out its first preseason match with a victory over Hungarian side Puskás Akadémia FC on Thursday afternoon at the Marbella Football Center.
The Sounders won by a score of 2-0, with goals from Pedro de la Vega and Jordan Morris.

GAME SUMMARY
1’ We are underway from the Marbella Football Center! Today’s match will be two, 45-minute halves with a line change to begin the second.
2’ First real chance for either squad. Paul Arriola slid in a beautiful ball to Jordan who squared it across the face of goal, but the PAFC backline handled it well.
6’ CHANCE! Kalani does well to slice into the PAFC final third, but his final effort is just inches wide of the left post.
8’ CHANCE! A beautiful ball from Danny Leyva finds Kalani who streaks down the right wing, he slots the ball to Pedro whose final effort skims the crossbar!
9’ Ball played over the top of our backline nearly finds the feet of the PAFC forward, but Nouhou beats him back. Even the attacking player noticed Nouhou’s speed, smiling and saying “You are fast, man!”
14’ Break in play here as a PAFC player goes down. So far it has been mostly one-way traffic in our favor. The combination play between Danny Leyva, João Paulo and Pedro de la Vega has been a lot to handle.
20’ GOALLLLLLLLL! Jordan earns the free kick, JP takes it and connects with a wide open Pedro who slots it home!
31’ GOALLLLLLLLL! A beautiful ball from Pedro in our area finds Jordan, who cuts across the top of the 18 and finds the back of the net!
37’ Dangerous free kick for PAFC, but Stef rises up tall to snag it.

62’ First yellow card of the match goes to a PAFC player for a rough challenge on Georgi, but he springs back up and is good to continue.
70’ A quiet start to this second half. The main thing to note is how impressive Snyder Brunell has looked. He’s been in the right pocket of space consistently throughout this second half.
