WHERE TO WATCH: The match will be televised on JOEtv.

WHERE TO LISTEN: The match will air on 950 KJR AM and El Rey 1360 AM.

2020 RECORDS AND STANDINGS: Sounders: 1-0-1 (4 points, 6th West), Dynamo: 0-1-1 (1 point, 12th West)

ALL-TIME HISTORY: The Sounders are 10-4-6 all-time against the Dynamo, including a 2-4-4 mark on the road.

PREVIOUS MEETING: A heavily rotated Sounders lineup, which featured 16-year-old Homegrown Danny Leyva in the Starting XI, traveled to Houston last July and picked up three massive points. Both sides failed to capitalize on the chances they carved out, but it was the Sounders who eventually found the breakthrough goal around the hour mark. In the 59th minute, Jordan Morris shielded off one defender as he flicked the ball over the head of a second defender before calmly slotting his shot into the bottom corner for a 1-0 win.

FLIP THE NARRATIVE: After going winless in their first eight attempts away to Houston, the Sounders have won both of their last road games at BBVA Stadium in MLS play. The first victory came in a 3-2 thriller over the Dynamo on October 21, 2018, with midfield maestro Nicolás Lodeiro dishing out three assists on the day.

ALL MY EXES LIVE IN TEXAS: Sounders striker Will Bruin, who is currently recovering from an ACL tear, joined the Sounders in 2017 after six successful seasons with the Dynamo. Since then, the Dancing Bear has scored four goals from four starts against his former club.

DYNAMO DOMINANCE: The Sounders haven’t lost to Houston since the opening match of the 2017 MLS regular season.

SWEET STEFAN FREI: Goalkeeper Stefan Frei earned his 200th MLS regular season start for the Sounders in Week 2. In that time, he’s recorded 57 shutouts and 619 saves.

LOW KEY LEERDAM: Right back Kelvin Leerdam quietly put in a fantastic attacking performance in the team’s 1-1 draw with Columbus Crew SC, posting three key passes as he bombed forward on the overlap.

LET THE FLOODGATES OPEN: Since joining the Sounders in 2018, striker Raúl Ruidíaz has always followed up brief scoring droughts with blistering hot streaks. The last time he went multiple games without scoring – the end of the 2019 regular season – he responded with four goals and four assists from his next four starts.
