Major League Soccer on Monday named Sounders FC forward Raúl Ruidíaz and wingback Brad Smith to the Week 3 MLS Team of the Week following their dominant performances in Seattle's 3-0 win over the LA Galaxy at Lumen Field on Sunday night.
Ruidíaz tallied his second two-goal performance in the first three games of the season, taking his tally on the year to four goals. In addition to providing the assist on Ruidíaz's first goal, Smith scored his second in two games after scoring just one goal in he entire professional career prior. The Australian wingback now has two goals and an assist through the first three matches.
Sounders FC returns to action on Sunday as the Rave Green visit the Portland Timbers (12:00 p.m. PT; ABC, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM) at Providence Park.
