Seattle Sounders forward Raúl Ruidíaz has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday following his excellent two-goal outing in the Rave Green's 3-3 draw with Charlotte FC on Saturday.
Ruidíaz made his first start since April 8 over the weekend after recovering from a hamstring injury. The Peruvian striker marked his full return in style, scoring a golazo in the 36th minute and a fantastic poacher's finish in the 70th minute. It was a classic Ruidíaz performance as he blended individual moments of magic with clever movement and combination play.
The Sounders will have some time to rest and recover this weekend following a spell of nine matches in the past six weeks. Seattle will return to action on June 21 as they visit LAFC (7:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass on Apple TV) at BMO Stadium.
