LINEUP NOTES
- Schmetz rolls his side out in a 5-4-1 after utilizing a 4-2-3-1 in the team's first three games of the year. Center back Jackson Ragen makes his full Sounders debut, while AB Cissoko, Reed Baker-Whiting, Léo Chú and Fredy Montero are all starting their first match of the year.
- Designated Player Albert Rusnák, who joined the Sounders in free agency during the offseason, returns to Rio Tinto Stadium for the first time. Rusnák amassed 41 goals and 39 assists across five seasons in MLS with Real Salt Lake.
- Midfielder Josh Atencio (right quad strain), defender Jimmy Medranda (left hamstring strain), as well as forwards Will Bruin (right calf strain) and Raúl Ruidíaz (right hamstring strain) are all out for today’s match due to injury. Additionally, midfielder Nicolás Lodeiro remained in Seattle as precautionary rest in the buildup to Tuesday’s match vs. Club León in the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Quarterfinals.
