The Seattle Sounders Leagues Cup journey continues following their latest win over Club Puebla in the competition's quarterfinals.
Despite a hard fought 90 minutes from the Sounders side, the match remained scoreless, leaving the knockout clash to be decided by penalties.
With successful penalty kicks from defender Alex Roldan, defender Jackson Ragen, forward Jesús Ferreira and midfielder Obed Vargas, the Sounders edged Liga MX’s Club Puebla in a 4-3 shootout win to advance to the next round of the tournament.
The team will now head to Carson, Calif. on Wednesday, Aug. 27 where they will face LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park at 7:45 p.m. to determine who is more deserving of a spot in the Leagues Cup Finals.
Tickets for our Leagues Cup match at Lumen Field on August 31st are now on sale to the public!
If Seattle defeats the LA Galaxy in their semifinal, they will host the Leagues Cup Final against the winner of Inter Miami vs. Orlando City SC at Lumen Field on August 31st. However, if the Galaxy advance, the Sounders will still host the 3rd/4th place match on the same day.
Both teams that reach the Final, as well as the winner of the 3rd/4th place match, will earn spots in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup.
