Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris to rejoin team ahead of Wednesday's match

Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris picked up 30 minutes with the U.S. men's national team in Friday's 2-0 win over Cuba but now, he's coming home.

On Saturday morning, U.S. Soccer announced that nine players will return to their clubs following the historic friendly, including Morris. "We sent some of our European-based guys back to make sure they stay in a rhythm for the next few weeks," said head coach Jurgen Klinsmann, "and with Jordan Morris and Chris Wondolowski they have a chance to extend their seasons. When it comes to roster spots for November, the fight is on.”

Morris will rejoin the Sounders in training on Monday at Starfire Sports ahead of a midweek matchup with the Houston Dynamo (7:30 p.m. PT; JOEtv, KIRO Radio 97.3FM, El Rey 1360AM). Midfielder Nicolas Lodeirowill also be back in Seattle for the fixture after picking up a yellow card in a CONMEBOL 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Thursday.
