Seattle Sounders forward Raúl Ruidíaz starts, plays 69 minutes in Peru’s 3-2 friendly loss to Costa Rica

Seattle Sounders forward Raúl Ruidíaz started and played 69 minutes on Tuesday in Peru’s 3-2 friendly loss with Costa Rica in Arequipa, Peru.

Edison Flores opened the scoring for Peru in the 20^th minute before Jonathan McDonald equalized four minutes from halftime. Allan Cruz gave Los Ticos the lead in the 54^th minute before Jefferson Farfán, who entered as a substitute for Ruidíaz, leveled the match in the 73^rd minute. A Joel Campbell penalty kick four minutes later gave Costa Rica the 3-2 win.

Ruidíaz earned his 36^th cap and started each of La Blanquirroja‘s two friendlies during this FIFA international break. He went 45 minutes in Peru’s 2-0 loss to Ecuador last Thursday.
