Seattle Sounders midfielder Cristian Roldan started his second consecutive match for the United States national team in a 2-0 friendly win over defender Waylon Francis and Costa Rica.
Sebastian Lletget opened the scoring in the 80th minute before Paul Arriola doubled the lead eight minutes later.
Roldan completed 33 of 44 passes, made eight recoveries and two interceptions while playing his second straight 90 minutes. Francis played the full 90 minutes as well, making three tackles, four recoveries and five clearances.
