- Captain Osvaldo Alonso is out after suffering a strained right knee against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday. Gustav Svensson and Jordy Delem start at center defensive midfield while Cristian Roldan starts as the No. 10 for the second straight match.


- Defender Román Torres remained in Seattle due to soreness in his left knee. Tony Alfaro starts in his place alongside Chad Marshall.


- Clint Dempsey begins on the bench to rest amidst three matches in a week. Will Bruin gets the starts as the lone forward.


- Midfielder Víctor Rodríguez returned home to Spain to be with his wife as she prepares to give birth to their first child.


- Joevin Jones starts at left midfield, while Nouhou earns the start at left fullback.
