- Head Coach Brian Schmetzer makes seven changes from the Sounders' Home Opener draw against Charlotte GFC with Andrew Thomas, Jonathan Bell, João Paulo, Pedro de la Vega, Danny Leyva, Jesús Ferreira, and Paul Arriola replacing Stefan Frei, Nouhou, Obed Vargas, Albert Rusnák, Cristian Roldan, Paul Rothrock, and Georgi Minoungou.
- With a goal tonight, Jordan Morris will break the club's all-time scoring record with 87 goals across all competitions.
- Sounders FC has signed Tacoma Defiance midfielder Kalani Kossa-Rienzi to a short-term loan, making him eligible for selection for Wednesday's match as well as Saturday's MLS contest at Real Salt Lake.
- Sounders FC advances to the Round of 16 with a win, draw or loss by two or less goals, with the exception of a 3-1 Antigua win sending the game to extra time.
