- Al Ahly advanced to face Seattle after defeating New Zealand side Auckland City 3-0 in the First Round of the tournament on Wednesday evening. Al Ahly qualified for the tournament by placing second in the 2021-2022 CAF Champions League (CAFCL winner Wydad Casablan- ca is also the host club).
