SIX-POINTER: With four of Seattle’s next five matches against opponents ahead of them in the Western Conference table, Tuesday’s match kicks off the first of massive six-pointers. Just six points separate the Sounders from a home playoff match and missing the postseason entirely. A win on Tuesday would vault Seattle all the way into fifth.

WIN OR LOSE: The Sounders are tied for the fewest draws in the league this season (Charlotte FC) with just two from 22 matches.

HOME DOMINANCE: The Sounders are unbeaten in 15 straight home matches against FC Dallas (12-0-3) including the postseason. Dallas' lone win in Seattle came in May 2011.

CRISTIAN CREATING: Despite a 2-1 loss at LAFC on Friday, Cristian Roldan has been playing well in his new (and old) role in central midfield. His pressure and attacking impetus forced LAFC into an own goal to open the scoring in Los Angeles.

USMNT SHOWDOWN: Tuesday night will feature a battle of four United States national team hopefuls for this winter’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The Sounders’ Cristian Roldan and Jordan Morris will go toe-to-toe with international teammates Ferreira and Arriola.

ATTACKING THREATS: Speaking of Ferreira and Arriola, each is having a standout season. Ferreira has replaced Ricardo Pepi as the next Homegrown success at forward in Frisco, as the 21-year-old is tied for fourth in the Golden Boot race with 12. Arriola, meanwhile, has been one of the best intra-league signings of the year with nine goals and three assists.

DEFENSIVE STRONGHOLD: Led by former MLS Defender of the Year Matt Hedges at center back, FC Dallas has allowed just 25 goals in 23 matches, good for second in the Western Conference.
