ALL-TIME HISTORY: The Sounders are 7-10-10 all-time against the Galaxy, including a 4-4-5 mark at home.



PREVIOUS MEETING: The Sounders battled to a 2-2 draw with the Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park on August 17. The match got off to a dream start for Seattle, with Daniel Steres receiving a straight red card in the 6th minute and 10th minute penalty decision against the Rave Green getting overturned upon Video Review. Seattle took a 1-0 lead in the 42nd minute through Raúl Ruidíaz, who nearly doubled the lead two minutes later but was stopped by Galaxy goalkeeper David Bingham. LA quickly equalized through Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the 45th minute. Ibrahimovic handed the Galaxy a 2-1 lead from the spot in the 66th minute, but Seattle eventually salved a point through an LA own goal 82nd minute.


WILD, WILD WEST: The Sounders, who are equal with RSL on points, currently are third in the Western Conference, one point ahead of the Galaxy. FC Dallas, who occupies the seventh and final playoff spot, has 40 points.
