- Goalkeeper Stefan Frei makes his first start since May 12 in San Jose after recovering from injury. Nouhou is also making his return from a lengthy injury layoff, as the defender makes his first start since a home draw against Austin FC on May 30.
- New signing Léo Chú earns his first appearance on the bench after joining the club from Brazilian side Grêmio on August 5.
- Forward Will Bruin gets the start up top, with midfielders Nicolás Lodeiro and Nicolas Benezet playing underneath him.
