- Sam Adeniran gets the start up top in place of Raúl Ruidíaz, who misses the match through injury (R hamstring strain). Today marks Adeniran's third MLS appearance with the Rave Green following two matches as an Extreme Hardship signing in 2021.
- João Paulo makes his first start of the 2022 season, lining up alongside 16-year-old Obed Vargas in central midfield. Vargas is starting this third consecutive match of the campaign.
- Cristian Roldan moves up to right wing in Schmetzer's 4-2-3-1 formation, with Designated Player Albert Rusnák sliding into the No. 10 role.
