PREVIOUS MEETINGS: The Sounders defeated the Timbers 2-1 at Providence Park on May 12 in their first of three meetings this year. Seattle then fell 1-0 at Portland on Aug. 31.
CASCADIA CUP: The 2024 Cascadia Cup will be decided at Lumen Field on Saturday after the Sounders defeated the Vancouver Whitecaps earlier this month. A win would clinch the regional title for Seattle, while a draw or loss would see Portland claim the trophy.
CONCACAF CHAMPIONS CUP: There are even more implications from Saturday’s match, as the Sounders can also potentially secure a berth in the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup. Seattle will earn its spot with:
