WHEN AND WHERE: Kickoff is at 6 p.m. PT at Lumen Field (TICKETS).

WHERE TO WATCH: The match will be available to watch on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

WHERE TO LISTEN: The match will air on 950 KJR AM and in Spanish on El Rey 1360AM.

2024 RECORDS AND STANDINGS: Sounders: 16-9-8 (56 points, 3rd West), Timbers: 12-11-10 (46 points, 9th West)

FORM GUIDE (all competitions, most recent first): Seattle: WWWDW, Portland: DLDDW

PREVIOUS MEETINGS: The Sounders defeated the Timbers 2-1 at Providence Park on May 12 in their first of three meetings this year. Seattle then fell 1-0 at Portland on Aug. 31.

CASCADIA CUP: The 2024 Cascadia Cup will be decided at Lumen Field on Saturday after the Sounders defeated the Vancouver Whitecaps earlier this month. A win would clinch the regional title for Seattle, while a draw or loss would see Portland claim the trophy.

CONCACAF CHAMPIONS CUP: There are even more implications from Saturdayā€™s match, as the Sounders can also potentially secure a berth in the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup. Seattle will earn its spot with:
1. A WIN vs. Portland
2. A DRAW vs. Portland AND an FC Cincinnati LOSS at the Philadelphia Union OR a Real Salt Lake DRAW vs. the Vancouver Whitecaps
3. A Real Salt Lake LOSS vs. the Vancouver Whitecaps

TRENDING OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS: Seattle enters Decision Day in one of its best forms of the season, having won five of its last six matches (5-0-1) including three straight. The Timbers, meanwhile, are winless in four and have just one win in their last six contests.

LEAGUEā€™S BEST DEFENSE: Seattle boasts the best defensive record in MLS, having conceded just 34 times in 33 matches this season. The Sounders also hold the most clean sheets (13) in the league.

Decision Day

Decision Day

It all comes down to this: the biggest rivalry in MLS. We host the Portland Timbers in the final match of the regular season, with playoff seeding, Cascadia Cup, and Concacaf Champions Cup qualification on the line.

BUCKING THE TREND: The Sounders have not beaten the Timbers at home since May 2017, a stat theyā€™re hoping to correct as they head into the postseason.

ATTACKING TRIO: Timbers attackers Evander, Jonathan RodrĆguez and Felipe Mora became the first teammate trio in MLS history to score at least 14 goals each in a single season. Led by MVP candidate Evander, they have combined to record over 70% of Portlandā€™s goals this season.

PLAYER TO WATCH: Evander, M

This should come as no surprise, as the Brazilian is tied for 10th in the league in goals with 15 and second in assists with 18.
