TURNING THE PAGE: After a tough outing against San Diego last time out, the Sounders have found their footing over the last eight matches, going 5-2-1 in that stretch.
RUSNÁK MAKES HISTORY: Following his late match-winning penalty in a 1-0 win over FC Dallas last weekend, Sounders midfielder Albert Rusnák became just the second player in MLS history to record 25 goals and 25 assists with two separate teams (Steve Ralston; Tampa Bay Mutiny, New England Revolution). The Slovakian international, who had 41 goals and 39 assists in five years with Real Salt Lake, is already up to seven goals and three assists for Seattle in 2025.

MASSIVE MAY: San Diego FC enters on a five-match unbeaten run in the month of May, posting a 4-0-1 record and outscoring its opponents 11-2. San Diego capped off its run by depositing budding Southern California rivals the LA Galaxy 2-1 on a goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
STRONG ON BOTH ENDS: San Diego is tied for the fourth-most goals scored in the league this season (27) and is in sole position in fourth for Goal Difference (+10).
PLAYER TO WATCH: Chucky Lozano, F
While Anders Dreyer could certainly get a shout— the Danish Designated Player is second in MLS in assists (seven) and third in Key Passes (41) — Lozano is a shoo-in here. The Mexican international winger is the catalyst for San Diego with five goals and six assists in just under 900 minutes this season.
