- Head Coach Brian Schmetzer makes three changes from the lineup that defeated the Columbus Crew last Sunday. Georgi Minoungou, Stefan Frei, and Obed Vargas replace Pedro de la Vega, Andrew Thomas and Josh Atencio.
- Sounders FC midfielder Albert Rusnák recorded his first MLS hat trick on Saturday against Columbus, becoming the third player in club history to bag a hat trick against the Ohio side. He is the seventh player in Seattle history to record a hat trick. The Rave Green have recorded nine total hat tricks in MLS play.
- Jordan Morris scored his 15th goal in all competitions on Saturday, marking a new single-season high for him. He had previously recorded 14 all-competition goals in both 2023 and 2016.
- This is the second and final time the two teams will face each other in 2024 regular season compeitition. Sporting Kansas City defeated the Sounders 2-1 on June 8 at Children's Mercy Park.
