Raul Ruidiaz celebrates goal San Jose 2018-10-29

UPDATE | March 22: This article has been updated to reflect Ruidíaz’s eighth consecutive match with a goal after he scored against the Chicago Fire in a 4-2 win in Week 3.

On Saturday, Seattle Sounders forward Raúl Ruidíaz scored a goal in the 8th minute to give the Rave Green an early 2-0 lead over the Colorado Rapids, a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. The star striker also scored a pair of goals the last time Colorado came to town in late September.

Here’s where it gets wild: Ruidíaz scored at least once in every match in between, too.

Heading into Seattle’s match at Chicago on Saturday (10 a.m. PT; JOEtv, YouTube TV, 950 KJR, El Rey 1360 AM), the Peruvian international has recorded a goal in seven consecutive matches, including three in the postseason series against the Portland Timbers last November.
