In the opening match of the weekend, the U-15s compiled a dominant performance against Silicon Valley. Center back Eric Kinzner bagged a brace with a pair of headed goals from set pieces, handing the young Sounders a 2-0 lead. Striker Austin Brummett, who recently received a call-up to the U.S. U-15 National Team, maintained his excellent scoring form with a goal in the 34th minute.
After dismantling Silicon Valley on Saturday, the U-17s shipped five goals past fellow MLS youth side San Jose to close out the weekend. With Ray Serrano and Josh Atencio absent through USYNT duty, striker Alec Diaz stepped up big time, recording a hat trick with a diverse set of goals. Winger Marlon Vargas tallied the opener in the 19th minute, bringing his offensive contributions to 13 goals and 20 assists from 26 appearances across all competitions. New signing Victor Cano, an attacking midfielder, also got on the score sheet with a long-range effort on the brink of halftime.
The U-19s strung together an undefeated weekend as they defeated a pair of Western Conference opponents. Midfielder Cam Martin and right wingback Khai Brisco secured the wins in both matches, while goalkeeper Sam Fowler pitched a shutout against the Earthquakes.

Brisco in Excellent Form
Khai Brisco is loving life in his new wingback role. A stalwart defender, the converted center back has added an offensive wrinkle to his game, scoring three goals in his last four outings. With some experience under his belt in various defensive positions, he’ll be a versatile option for Sounders FC 2 this season.
Playoff Push
The young Sounders’ dominant performances are translating to the standings, as all three squads are within the Top 10 nationally. Though there isn’t a U-15 edition of the USSDA playoffs, both of the older squads are comfortably within the playoff spots, with the U-17s ranked third in the entire USSDA.
Cascadia Rivalry Month
After a road trip up North this weekend to take on the Whitecaps, the young Sounders return to Starfire Sports next weekend for three matches against Portland Timbers.
