The match this week, Seattle’s 3-0 victory over the New York Red Bulls in the club’s inaugural MLS fixture, was selected by supporters in the third iteration of a fan poll for Sounders FC Classics.
Presented by WaFd Bank, this match saw the Sounders take MLS by storm, showcasing plenty of attacking flair in front of a raucous crowd. The quality of soccer on the pitch and the passionate environment inside the stadium immediately established the Sounders as one of the greatest expansion franchises in North American sports history.
