For the fifth edition of Sounders FC Classics, a new series re-airing some of the best matches in club history, we want you to choose the next match!
Each week will have a selection of games packaged under a certain theme. Up first is Playoff Week, with four of the most thrilling postseason clashes since 2009.
All four of these games carry significance in the rich history of Sounders FC. The first match, a thrilling 3-2 win over the LA Galaxy in the knockout round of the 2015 playoffs, marked the first time the Sounders bounced their California rival from the competition. Seattle's dominant 3-0 victory over FC Dallas in 2016 featured breakout performances from Jordan Morris and Nicolás Lodeiro as the boys marched toward the club's first-ever MLS Cup, while the massive win over Houston Dynamo the following season saw the Sounders return to the title match for the second consecutive season. Finally, last season's comprehensive 2-0 win over Real Salt Lake sent Seattle back to the Western Conference Final for the third time in four seasons.
