For the next installment of Sounders FC Classics, a new series in which we re-air some of the best matches in club history, we want you to choose the game!
Presented by CHI Franciscan, each of the three options falls under the theme of Playoff Heroes, spotlighting some of the most iconic individual performances of Sounders stars in the postseason.
First up is Seattle’s dominant 3-0 victory over FC Dallas in Leg One of the 2016 Western Conference Semifinals, when Nicolás Lodeiro bagged a brace to hand the Rave Green a massive lead heading into the second leg. Speaking of scoring two goals in the playoffs, the second option, Seattle’s 2-0 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps to return to the Western Conference Final, features a classic Clint Dempsey masterclass. The last and most recent option – the club’s thrilling 4-3 extra time win over FC Dallas in the 2019 postseason – is best remembered for Jordan Morris’ first professional hat trick.
