Sounders FC Classics: Vote for the match we'll re-air on May 9, presented by Budweiser

For the ninth edition of Sounders FC Classics, a new series in which we re-air some of the best matches in club history, we want you to choose the next game.

Presented by Budweiser, the four options all fall under the theme of Vancouver Rivalry, spotlighting some of the club’s most iconic victories against our neighbors to the North, the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Up first is Seattle’s dominant win away to Vancouver in September of 2015, with Andreas Ivanschitz, Gonzalo Pineda and Obafemi Martins all finding the back of the net as the Sounders secured the Cascadia Cup. The next option is Seattle’s match against Whitecaps at CenturyLink Field in 2017, when Clint Dempsey, Nicolás Lodeiro and Víctor Rodríguez combined for a thrilling victory. One year later, the Sounders capped off their record nine-match winning streak with a 2-1 triumph over Vancouver to win the 2018 Cascadia Cup. Finally, last season’s last-gasp 1-0 result at home, in which Kelvin Leerdam stole three points at the death with a goal seven minutes into second-half stoppage time, rounds out the group.
