Sounders Spotlight: Broadcast Partners Extended

On Thursday, Sounders FC announced the details for regional broadcasts in 2015. In addition, Sigi Schmid sat down with Q13 Fox sports director Aaron Levine for an exclusive on-camera interview, while newcomer Tyrone Mears took a shot at being a weatherman. Sounders FC wrapped up the week with training at Starfire Sports in preparation for Sunday’s trip to Arizona for the 2015 Desert Diamond Cup.

  • The club received plenty of local coverage from Thursday’s broadcast deal, including The Seattle Times, The News Tribune, mynorthwest.com, and Sounder at Heart, which can be found here and here.
  • Matt Pentz of The Seattle Times covered rookie Darwin Jones, who has welcomed advice from veterans since joining the club.
  • Steve Zakuani met with Ross Fletcher for an on-camera interview regarding his new book and joining the Sounders FC broadcast team. Zakuani’s book also gets mentioned by Don Ruiz of The News Tribune.
  • Sounder at Heart continue its player profile series with a write-up on Brad Evans. The site also takes an in-depth look at USL.
  • Prost Amerika’s Radio Cascadia featured an interview with Senior Director of Operations Taylor Graham.
  • As always, SoundersFC.com continues its daily coverage of preseason with an article on the relationship between Lamar Neagle and Darwin Jones, as well as a breakdown of the TV and attendance numbers from the 2014 season.
