Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei was named to the Week 34 Team of the Week bench following his performance in the 1-1 draw with the LA Galaxy on Monday night.
Frei posted three saves on the night as the Sounders battled back from an early 1-0 deficit to secure a point. In particular, Frei’s produced a sprawling, full-extension save to deny Sebastian Lletget in first half stoppage time to keep Seattle in the match and give the team an opportunity to equalize in the second half.
Frei and the Sounders return to action on Sunday as they visit the Vancouver Whitecaps (3:00 p.m. PT; FOX 13+, KUNS, Prime Video, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360AM) in the final match of the 2021 MLS regular season.
