The Seattle Sounders are visiting St. Louis CITY SC on Saturday in their first of two meetings in the regular season. Here is everything you need to know:

WHEN AND WHERE: Kickoff is at 5:30 p.m. PT (7:30 p.m. local time) at Energizer Park in St. Louis, Mo.

WHERE TO WATCH: The match will be available to watch on Apple TV.

WHERE TO LISTEN: The match will air on iHeartMedia Seattle and in Spanish on El Rey 1360AM.

2026 MLS STANDINGS: Sounders: 1-1-0 (3 points, 9th West), St. Louis: 0-1-1 (1 point, 14th West)

PREVIOUS MEETING: The Sounders defeated St. Louis 4-1 at Lumen Field in Seattle on May 3, 2025. Marcel Hartel opened the scoring for the visitors with a penalty in the 29th minute, but the Sounders responded with four unanswered goals from Albert Rusnák, Obed Vargas, Danny Musovski and Nouhou.

MUSOVSKI LOOKS LIVELY: After coming on as a second-half substitute last weekend, Musovski had a goal nullified because of a tight offside call in the buildup and a few other great looks in behind Real Salt Lake’s defense. The Sounders will hope he can replicate some of last year’s magic when he scored a career-high 14 MLS goals.

PETKOVIĆ DEBUTS: Charlotte FC loanee Nikola Petković came on late against RSL to make his club debut. Seattle acquired the 22-year-old Serbian central midfielder this past offseason.

NEW MAN IN CHARGE: First-year Head Coach Yoann Damet is still looking for his first win in charge. Damet spent the last three seasons as an assistant under Wilfried Nancy at Columbus Crew SC.

MISSING KLAUSS: St. Louis sent Brazilian forward João Klauss to the LA Galaxy in January as part of a $2.375M cash-for-player trade. Klauss, St. Louis’ first Designated Player, is the league’s joint-leading goalscorer so far with three goals in his first two games with LA.

UNDERFORMING ATTACK: St. Louis has scored just once in the league’s opening two matches despite posting 3.52 Expected Goals. Their -2.52 differential is the highest in the league.

PLAYER TO WATCH: Simon Becher, F

With Klauss gone, the onus for goalscoring falls on the 26-year-old St. Louis University product who’s now in his second full season after joining from the Danish First Division. The former Vancouver Whitecaps MLS SuperDraft selection has seven goals and three assists in roughly 2,000 career minutes in St. Louis.
